Show PAR AGON AH NEWS NOTES By HUma Lamoreaux I Mrs. Leona Stones traveled to Salt Lake City last week end with members of her family from Cedar City to attend the wedding wed-ding reception for her son Milo and his wife, the former Mrs. Mariam Thornton. The couple spoke their marriage mar-riage vows In the Salt Lake temple tem-ple on Friday morning and were honored at a reception that evening eve-ning at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Atkinson At-kinson of Ogdcn. Making the trip with Mrs. Stones were Mr. and Mrs. Mario Mar-io Stones and son Bruce and Mrs. Kathleen Mitchell and daughter Carla Jo. In addition to attend-In attend-In the wedding festivities they visited with family members in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Irene Robinson accompanied accompan-ied her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux to St. George on Tuesday of last week for an overnight visit and also to attend sessions at the temple. She returned re-turned home Wednesday evening with others who attended the evening temple session. The group of people traveling to St. George last week to do temple work included Bishop and Mrs. Victor Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards, Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Vance Miller. Chester Robinson traveled to Salt Lake City again last week end for radium treatments on his eye. He made the trip to the city with LeGrande Robb who was Bolm for a visit with his family. Primary President Mrs. Roene Lunt announces that the Ward Primary organization will hold Its annual bazaar on Tuesday afternoon, af-ternoon, May 5 and invites everyone every-one '.o support this event. There will be baked goods, candy, popcorn, pop-corn, a fish pond, aprons, hand work and a special assortment of artificial flowers and memorial wreaths for sale. Mli.i Helen Stones and Mrs. Idella Robinson enjoyed a fine trip to the Glen Canyon Dam site and to Page, Ariz, on Thurs-. Thurs-. day of last week. They traveled) with a group of Iron County ( school teachers who -made the tour by bus. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Benson were also members of the group. Miss Stones and Mr. Benson were able to leave the school rooms because they have student teachers teach-ers working with them. Mr. and Mrs. Keith M. Gibson and their two children visited the Wilson Lunds on Monday. The Gibsons recently returned from Alaska and are visiting relatives In this area before going go-ing on to Texas for a new assignment as-signment Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frel were in Paragonah on Monday for a visit with Mrs. Frel's aunt, Mrs. Chester Robinson. Mr. Frel was recently released from the armed services In California, and he and his wifc were visiting relatives rela-tives here before going to Washington Wash-ington State. Mr. and Mrs. Elwln Talbot and their two children were week end visitors from Salt Lake City. They visited the Renford Talbot and T. A. Robinson families. H. B. Robinson was sufficiently sufficient-ly improved from his Injury to leave the hospital on Saturday and Is now convalescing at the home of his daughter Mrs. Dora Wade of Cedar City. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Robinson of Parowan was christened in Sacrament meeting Sunday. He was given the name of Brad Allan. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb and son Gaylord left for California on Monday for a few days visit with family members In El Ca-Jon. Ca-Jon. Mrs. Rayma Clark was here from Cedar City to spend the week end with her folks, the Earl Thorntons. Her husband Joined her here later. Mrs. Alone Prothero enjoyed a trip to Provo last week. She accompanied ac-companied her brother, Max Bonzo and their mother for a visit with Douglas Bonzo and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Close. Mrs. Cynthia Hunt and her children of Stockton, Utah, visited vis-ited here all last week with the Lasea Hunt family. Mr. Hunt arrived ar-rived on Friday to spend the week end and to take his family back home again. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Top-ham Top-ham had visitors with them last week end. From Panguitch came Mrs. Topham's father, Joseph Miller and from Kanab, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reynolds and their two children. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robb and their daughter were over from Cedar City on Sunday to spend the day with Harold's mother, Mrs. Clara Robb. Mrs. Myrtle Abbott wa released re-leased from the Holy Crcs Hospital Hospi-tal on Friday of last wtck. She is convalescing at the home of her son Tommy Abbott, in Murray. Mur-ray. Mrs. John Williamson spent most of last week in the Iron County Hospital for treatment for a heart ailment. She came home again on Friday but owing to complications and increasing discomfort dis-comfort was returned to the hospital hos-pital again Sunday morning. Mrs. Emma Edwards was taken tak-en to the hospital Thursday morning suffering from a bad I heart condition. She has not been well for the past few weeks and failed to recover satisfactorily from an attack of flu. Latest reports re-ports were that she was in a critical condition and was being given axygen. Family members are in constant attendance at her bedside and a number of her people have come from northern Utah to be with her. |
