Show Flu Ridden Parowan Rams Suffer 41-6 Setback at Milford With Coach Pettey of the Mil-ford Mil-ford Tigers asserting that his team played its best game of the year, and Coach John Wood's Parowan team cut by almost half with flu and injuries, the Rams took a 41 t 6 drubbing from the Tigers at Parowan last week. With half a dozen players out of action because of flu, and with Don Burton, regular quarterback quar-terback on crutches as the result re-sult of Injuries, the heavier Mil-ford Mil-ford team spotted the Rams one touchdown and then rolled up the top heavy score. In the second period Duane Lamoreaux, play-ing play-ing for Burton was hurt and from there on Coach Wood had to shuffle his players all around to finish the game. Things don't look much better for this week with the Rams going go-ing to St. George to meet the league leading Flyers, with Bur-ton Bur-ton and Lamoreaux still out of action and Gene Boardman, an inexperienced sophomore, left In the signal calling position. This may cause some more shuffling of players for this game, although al-though Wood states that regular practice was resumed with almost al-most a full squad on Tuesday. No practice was" held Friday nor Monday because of the deer hunt and heavy storm. The following week the Rams play the powerful Redmen at Cedar City and then on Nov. 8 they go to Kanab for the final game with the much-improved Cowboys. |
