Show I Residents Encouraged To Support Xmas Seal Campaign Mrs. Darwin Nelson, chairman of the lion County Tuberculosis Association, member of the National Na-tional Tuberculosis Association, will initiate the 51st annual Christmas Seal sale beginning Nov. 15. Letters containing the Christmas Christ-mas Seals for 1957 will be mailed mail-ed early to residents of this area and citizens have been encour-aged encour-aged to purchase the seals and use them on their letters and envelopes this season. Mrs. Nelson pointed out that county TB association is engaged engag-ed in a nation-wide four-point program whose sole support is Christmas Seals. Christmas Seals help pay for (1) case finding, (2) education, (3) rehabilitation, and (4) medical med-ical research. Progress in this fight, since the first seal was sold, has meant a saving of more than seven million mil-lion lives, Mrs. Nelson stated. Still TB remains our country's number one infectious killer, taking more American lives than all other lnfectuous diseases together. to-gether. The Iron County committee encourages en-courages everyone to "Buy and Use Christmas Seals." |
