Show Little Leaguers Set Exhibition Games for August 1 Two exhibition baseball games will be held by the Cedar City "Little Leaguers" at the local softball diamond on Friday, Aug. 1, according to Cleo Petty, recreation recrea-tion director. The exhibition will pit the two leading teams of the "Little League" against each other in the second game, and the first game will see the Elks Rulers and the Rotary Rangers tangle. They are third and fourth respectively respec-tively in the league. The Kiwa-nis Kiwa-nis Kubs, now holding down first place will meet the Lion Tamers in the second game. The games will get under way at 7:30 Friday evening with the first game limited to six innings or one and one-half hours which ever comes first. These youngsters between the ages of 9 and 13 play some outstanding out-standing ball. They play on a softball size diamond and under national "Little League" regulations. regula-tions. Admission lr the exhibition will be 35c for adults and 20c for children under 12. The proceeds of these games will be used by the Little Leaguers to send an all- star group to Las Vegas, Nev. on August 2. Remainder of the funds will be used for a party for the youngsters. |
