Show Final Rites Are Held Tuesday for Cedar City Native Charles Edwin Adams, 73, died at his residence Saturday of natural na-tural causes, and final respects were paid him at services conducted con-ducted Tuesday afternoon at the Southern Utah Mortuary chapel. Conducting the 'services was Bishop A. E. Whatcott, and paying pay-ing tribute to the deceased was H. H. Lunt, a long time friend. The musical program included a vocal duet, "I Need Thee Every Hour," by Walter G. Lunt and Gloria Dotson; a vocal solo, "My Task," by Herschel Neeley, accompanied ac-companied by his daughter, Mrs. Shirley Cowan. Invocation was by Max Heaps, benediction by Samuel F. Leigh, and the dedicatory prayer at the Cedar City cemetery, where burial bur-ial was made, was by Oscar Hu-let. Hu-let. Mr. Adams was born In Cedar City May 26, 1879, a son of Timothy Tim-othy and Louise Houchen Adams. He engaged in farming during most of his life, until his retirement retire-ment about 10 years ago. He was well known for his work as an amateur artist, having devoted much to me to art as a major hobby. He never married, and is survived sur-vived only by a number of nieces and nenii'1"" |
