Show Social Notes By Mrs. Ralph Box Employees of Zlon National park selected Miss Margielee Macfarlane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Macfarlane of Cedar City as queen for the July 24th celebration to be held at the park. The selection was made from eight candidates. Coronation Corona-tion ceremonies took place Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fred LaFrentz are vacationing in southern California Cali-fornia for two weeks. Mrs. Lavar Hirschi entertained Wednesday evening at her home assisted by Mrs. Melvin Baldwin as co-hostess to honor Mrs. Gordon Gor-don Wood at a stork shower. Party Par-ty games were enjoyed in keeping keep-ing with the story theme. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served to the honored guest, and Mrs. Marion Laney, Mrs. Clifford Halsey, Mrs. Carlos Black, Mrs. Reed Gower, Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mrs. Keith Cripps, Mrs. Miles Waters, Mrs. Kenneth Gower, Mrs. A. D. Alger, Mrs. Gam Hirschi and Mrs. Harry Rhodes. ' The Thomas Chamberlain family reunion was held Tuesday Tues-day at St. George. A garden luncheon was served to 50 members mem-bers of the family at the home of Mrs. Isaac Chamberlain. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Esplin returned re-turned Monday from a 10-day vacation trip through Idaho. A stop over was made at Idaho Falls for an Esplin family reunion. re-union. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mahler and small son are planning a few days at Grand Canyon this week. Thomas W. Munford was honored hon-ored at a family gathering and open house Sunday, on his 74th birthday. Children of Mr. Munford Mun-ford and their families present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Openshaw of Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Munford and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Munford of Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. George Munford of Kanarraville, Mrs. R. L. McConnell and Mr. and Mrs. Udell Marshall of Linden, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hardy, and Mr. and Mrs. George Topham. Many friends called during the affair to extend greetings to Mr. Munford. |
