Show Building Down In Cedar City for First Half of 1952 According to a report issued this week by Warren M. Cox, Cedar City building Inspector, construction of home, non-residential buildings, and alterations altera-tions and repairs to buildings in Cedar City during the first six months of 1952 was nearly $68,-000 $68,-000 lower than the same period of 1951. Although there were almost as many home built this year, the total cost was considerably lower, low-er, indicating that less expensive homes were built during the first six months of this year than was the case during 1951. Total building costs, according to the permits issued, amounted to $294,485 during the first six months of this year as compared to a total of $362,015 in 1951. This year there were 28 new homes constructed during the six months period, at a cost of $197,950. In the same period of 1951 there were only three more homes, 31, but the total cost was $256,534. Non residential construction this . year amounted to only $4,500, as compared . to $44,800 last year. Alterations and repair permits totaled $59,635 this year as compared to $60,681 last year. |
