Show "Make It Yourself With Wool" Contest State Finals to Be Held at Utah State Fair The sixth annual "Make It Yourself With Wool" contest and fashion show will be sponsored by the Utah Woolgrowers association asso-ciation auxiliary in conjunction with the Utah State Fair which will be held Sept. 13 through Sept. 21. The 1952 Utah State Fair contest con-test is open to all girls 14 through 22 years of age residing in Utah, according to Mrs. M. V. Hatch, Panguitch, president of the auxiliary. According to fair manager J. A. Theobald, $200 has been set aside lor prize money in the junior and senior divisions. Rosettes and ribbons will also be given to the winning contestants. All contestants will first compete com-pete in a district contest. These contests will be directed entirely by members of the auxiliary or by qualified groups, and the dates and places of such contests con-tests will be announced by the state contest director. Each contestant con-testant may enter as many as three garments in the district contest. From these district contests the young women who compete in the state finals at the State Fair are selected. The girls judge first in junior and senior divisions will be the only persons eligible to enter their winning garments in the state contest. Girls winning top honors in each of the two classes of the state contest will be named state champions and will be awarded a trip to the 1952 National Fashion Fash-ion snow to be held in conjunction conjunc-tion with the 88th annual convention con-vention of the National Wool Growers association December 7 through 19 in Chicago. |
