Show Sub-division Plans Await Okay Of Federal Agency A new housing project is contemplated con-templated by the Cedar Lumber and Hardware company, according accord-ing to W. Arthur Jones, president, presi-dent, providing approval of the project as now set up is given by the Federal Housing authorities. authori-ties. Approval of the sub division has been given by the Cedar City Planning Board and the City Council, and application is now before the Housing Commission. If approval is received from the government, detailed building plans will be worked out, making mak-ing it possible to start actual construction probably in the spring. Mr. Jones slates that the subdivision sub-division as approved by the city Council, will include 31 new homes, and provides for a small commercial district, and a small play-ground area. It is located in the southwest part of the city, in the block between KX) and 450 West streets, and 400 and COO South streets. If the project is given final approval ap-proval and is undertaken by the company, each of the 31 homes will be offered for sale upon completion, com-pletion, Mr. Jones states. Robert Gardner, Cedar City architect ar-chitect and George A. Smeath, northern Utah planning engineer, engi-neer, have prepared the sub-division plans. However, plans for the individual units have not been started yet, and of course, will not be until final approval is received and the project is definitely adopted by the company. |
