Show Students Compile Interesting Data on City Election The students of the American problems class of the Cedar City high school, taught by Mrs. Zoo R. Palmer, have completed a very interesting study of the response of voters df Ceilar City during the recent municipal eletcion. The purpose of the study was to determine how many of the registered voters in the city exercised ex-ercised their privilege of helping to select municipal officers, to break this down into votes by district, and then to attempt to find reasons for one section of town, for instance, having a higher percentage of votes than others. While definite conclusions conclu-sions could not be reached, ol course, the study did make the students conscious of the responsibilities respon-sibilities of citizens with regards to the use of the ballot. The figures compiled by the students should also prove interesting inter-esting to the adult population. For instance it was found that only 58' t of the registered voters went to the polls, 1763 of the 3018 registered voters casting their ballots. It also showed that voting district No. 2, the southeast south-east part of the city had the highest per cent, 65' J, while less than half, 49';;, of the voters in district No. 5, the northwest portion por-tion of the city cast their ballots. bal-lots.
