Show B Basketball Squad To Be Carried fit BAC. This Year Announcement has been made by Cleo Petty, head of the physical phy-sical education department of the Branch Agricultural college, that a "B" basketball squad will be maintained at the Bronco school this year. j i Dave Gates, football coach, will be in charge of the E squad, and will select his team, from basketball prospects who were not able to earn positions on the "A" squad. This will give the fellows a chance to develop more and perhaps move up to the other oth-er squad at a later date. The plan will also give the B squad members a chance to develop this year and try again for the varsity next year. Games will be arranged with strong high school and M-men teams, and if possible with junior jun-ior varsity teams of the bigger schools and with B squads of the Utah ICAC schools. The first game for the B squad will be against the Cedar high school Redmen in a preliminary battle bat-tle on Dec. 1, when the Broncos meet the Hill Air Force team in the BAC fieldhouse. Coach Gates will announce his B roster soon after the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday. The football coach will also devote his "off season" time to another sport, wrestling", it is announced. an-nounced. When students return to school after Thanksgiving Gates will issue a call for students stu-dents interested in the sport and begin regular practice sessions. |
