Show Ram Basketball Coach Picks Squads, Schedule Sets Ten Practice Games Coach William Jones' Parowan Ram basketball team opens its practice series of games on Saturday, Sat-urday, Dec. 1, when the Tropic high school quintet comes here and from then until Friday, Dec. . 28, the Ram team has 10 games definitely scheduled, and two more tentatively arranged for. Friday, Dec. 7 the Rams entertain enter-tain the Enterprise team here, and the following night, Saturday, Satur-day, Dec. 8, Parowan goes to Or-derville Or-derville for a game with Valley high school. Wednesday, Dec. 12, Panguitch comes to Parowan for a game; Friday, Dec. 14, Valley high comes to Parowan, and on Saturday, Dec. 15 the Rams tan-ele tan-ele with the Cedar high Redmen in the B A C fieldhouse. On Wednesday, Dec. 19 Parowan Paro-wan travels to Panguitch; Thurs day, Dec. 20 the Rams go to Enterprise, En-terprise, and on Friday, Dec. 21, the Cedar Redmen come here. Then on Friday, Dec. 28 the Rams go to Tropic for a return game. The tentative games are with the Hurricane high team and a home and home arrangement Is being worked out now with that school. I Coach Jones has cut his squad to 20 men, 10 of whom will be carried on the A squad and 10 will be on the B squad. Just who will be on each hasn't been announced an-nounced as yet by the coach who reserves this announcement until some of the practice games are played to give the men an opportunity op-portunity to show what they can do. At present the men are listed in this order: John Benson, Jim Harris, Mel-vin Mel-vin Mitchell, Jay Winter, Steve Adams, Milton Mortensen, Ray-nor Ray-nor Kaminska, David Orton, Tommy Dobrusky, Frank Adams, Roy Benson, Melvin K. Hyatt, Berdell Bentley, Gar Johnson, Edward Ed-ward Dalton, Marlon Rasmussen, Spencer Adams, Clifford Robb, Tebbs Adams, Larry King, Ron-; aid Robinson, Kent Benson and Donald Gurr. One other man, Larry Stokes, who looked good during the past week, pulled a leg muscle last Friday and will be out for some time, but will be back on . the squad as soon as the leg recovers. |
