Show BAC Football Coach Names Winners 0! Letter Awards Dave Gates, football coach at the Branch Agricultural college,! has announced a list of 25 members mem-bers of the 1951 Bronco football foot-ball squad who have won letter awards. Included in the list are four third year men, seven second sec-ond year men and 11 first year men. The awards will be presented pre-sented at a special football assembly as-sembly to be arranged in the near future. The men to be so recognized for their work on the gridiron this year, are as follows: Third year, Bud Camp, Dick Southwiek.Kent Myers and Doug McShane. Second year, Frank Manzione, Gene Toolson, Chad Carling, Lloyd Warner, Romer Scott, Hardy Har-dy Phelps, Tex Everett, Ed Oker-lund, Oker-lund, manager. First year, Pat McBride, Reese Whittaker, Lloyd Heyborne, Rusty Rus-ty Prestwich, Thales Johnson, Jesse Matthews, Dayle Rust, Bob Crane, Phil Rawlinson, Stan Mackay, Roy Jones, Clyde Turner, Turn-er, Ramon Bunting and Winston Win-ston Christensen. The first and second year awards will be sweaters, while the four third year men will receive re-ceive jackets. Fourth year men at the school receive blankets, but there were no meneligible for this award this year. Under Intermountain Collegiate Athletic conference rules each of the 26 men will be eligible for participation again next year, but several of the first and second sec-ond year award winners will undoubtedly not be back. Such men as Dick Southwick, Kent Myers and Tex Everett have announced an-nounced that they plan to attend school elsewhere next year, and there undoubtedly will be others in the group who will not wear a Bronco uniform in 1952. |
