Show Mayor's Statement Clarifies Wading Pool Program Ann Hansen, past president of the Jaycee-Ettes of Cedar City, indicated recently that a number num-ber of inquiries had been received re-ceived by the club regarding the project of developing the wading pool at the municipal swimming pool this summer. It will bo recalled that last spring the Jaycee-Ettos turned over money to the city to complete com-plete the necessary work to put the wading pool at the south, end of the pool into use. At that time it was stated that the pool would be in use this past summer. When the pool was not put into use this summer the club received re-ceived a number of inquiries. In order to clear up the question and to advise the public of the status of the project the following follow-ing letter from Mayor Arnold Anderson is being published: The City Council and myself regret very much that we were unable to get the wading pool at the swimming pool available for the youngsters this year, especially espec-ially after receiving such a generous gen-erous donation from your organization. organi-zation. mi . ! i - r : 1 1 ll - 1 wnen we inea 10 nv. uie uui for the first time this year, some of the lead-in pipes around the pool broke, and owing to the fact that there is a dirt tunnel around the wading pool we were unable to check the work needed need-ed to report same. We have it on our agenda to make the necessary nec-essary repairs before spring; and hope that we can have this pool working in satisfactory condition when we open the regular swimming swim-ming pool again.
