Show Scouter Training Program Held at C. S. U. A "university of scouting" has been planned at the College of Southern Utah during the next three weeks, with Dr. Koyden C. Braithwaite, college director, and leadership training chairman for the Cedar Breaks' District, in charge. About GO scouters from the district dis-trict are enrolled in the training program. An overnight trip cn Friday, Nov. 25, will be followed by instructional in-structional meetings to be held at the CoJlege of Southern Utah. These meetings are slated for Wednesday, Nov. 30; Thursday, Dee. 8; Thursday, Dee. 15, and Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16 and 17. All of the training sessions will be held at the li'tlo theater at the college. Attending the sessions will be scoutmasters, assistant scoutmasters, scoutmas-ters, senior patrol leaders, institutional insti-tutional representatives, scout committeemen, and for the first time, a number of women interested inter-ested in the training program because be-cause of their activities in the Cub Scout program. Assisting Dr. Braithwaite in the training program will be Royce Knight, Ru.'on Woodbury and Willis Wynn, teachers; Theron Ashcroft, in charge of the Explor. er phase of the program; Chester McVey and Drew Haight, Cub scouting, and Edward Parry, unit committeeman. |
