Show Legion-Sponsored Show Fetes Handicapped ! Tickets sales for the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary sponsored stage show "Hell on Wheejs" are now underway, under-way, with the promise of a full house for the show. The performance, given by Paraplegics, who because of In- Juries during battle combat will never walk again, will be given in the College of Southern Utah auditorium on Friday, Dec. 9. All funds raised through ticket sales wiU be retained by the two sponsoring spon-soring organizations, the expense of bringing the troupe to Cedar City having been paid through advertising. The play Is a story of three lusty lads confined to an Army Hospital, who though they are bored, they dream of home and gals and mother's buttermilk biscuits and hot rods and pictures pic-tures shows. The performers play their parts with most emphatic realism because be-cause they really are confined to 'wheelchairs, cannot walk a step and never will. The play is highly high-ly entertaining, and Is aJs'o very Inspiring to see these men who suffered serious wounds In World War II and the Korean conflict, carry on as actors, the profession they followed before their participation par-ticipation In military service. They deserve the wholehearted support of the community. Musical specialty numbers by one of the cast will be an added attraction for the evening. Tickets may be obtained from any member of the American Legion Le-gion or Auxiliary. |
