The last one was a girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Kay Robinson of Cedar City. This Is the young Robinson couples' first child. Miss Larie Hunt returned home Friday from Stockton, Utah, where she has spent the past week with the BerneU. Hunts. Mr. and Mrs. Othello Griffin, two children and their niece, of Henderson, Nov. spent a few-hours few-hours Sunday with their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Topham. Arthur Evans left Saturday for Los Angeles with a load of cattle cat-tle for market. He was accompanied accom-panied by his brother Alma of Parowan. A most appreciative and large audience listened raptly to the noted Master Singers male chorus chor-us from Cedar City Sunday evening. eve-ning. These good men gave freely free-ly of their time and talent to come to our town and give this fine concert to help our building fund. We are most gratefi'.' for their service. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. McGookin of Long Beach, Calif, were overnight over-night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wil son Lund and Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell one night last week. They were on their way to Pro-vo Pro-vo to get their daughter, Miss Marvis McGookin. Miss Rayma Thornton and Miss Anna Talbot were here over the week end to visit their people. They have employment in Cedar City. Miss Hanna Hatten of Salt Lake City spent the week end here with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lund. A most inspirational Explorer and Mia Maid stake fireside was held in Parowan Sunday evening eve-ning under the direction of stake leaders, Mrs. Joan Wheatley and Duane Van Ausdal. Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite was the featured j speaker for the evening and gavei good advice to the teen-agers and older peopje present., Paragonah was very well represented wlth Miss Laura Lamoreaux playing a piano solo for our part on the program. Mrs. Hettie Ann Bentley accompanied accom-panied her father, Howard Jones, to Salt Lake City on- Sunday. Mr. Jones went on to Ogden for the livestock sale Monday morning. M. and Mrs. William S. Board-man Board-man and sons left for California! to spend the Thanksgiving holi-1 days with Ruth's mother, Mrs. Cox, at Riverside and with other relatives and friends. Kenneth Mitchell and his son D;Ue came in from W'ced Heights, Nev. to get his wife, LaRue, and two sons who had been here for a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barton. Mrs. Mitchell underwent surgery at the Iron County hospital while here. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Thompson of Ogden arp here with Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robinson. Mr. Thompson, who is a carpenter, is doing extensive remodeling on a portion of the Robinson home. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Top-ham Top-ham and Mrs. Lula R. Bastion, MIA stake members, attended the stake fireside held in Parowan Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. CUiff Jolley and children were here Su.iday visiting visit-ing relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kearns and children of Atwaier, Calif., t have spent the past werk hrrr with Mrs. Elva McBride and Dick, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Toj-ham Toj-ham "arid 'family. 'Mrs. Kearns wiU be remembered as the former form-er Rhoda McBride. Mr. and Mrs. David Dalton left Monday for California to spend their vacation with friends and relatives there. Mrs. Melva Barton of the Ward Relief Society announced the bazaar ba-zaar to be held Tuesday afternoon, after-noon, Nov. 29. Many lovely and useful articles will be on sale, suitable for Christmas gifts. A large crowd of ladies is expected to attend. i I Kenneth Eonzo has bwn in town for a few days' visiting with his brother-in-law and ulster, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Prothero. i Friday afternoon our school teachers attended a meeting in , Parowan pertaining to better reading methods for the student.-c Alta Dalton acted as teacher in Chester Benson's room.
