Parovan Third Ward Selects New S. S. Superintendency A new superintendency for the Parowan Third Ward Sunday School was selected Jast week by the ward bishopric and the new group took over as head of that ward organization last Sunday Sun-day morning. Heber Gurr Is the new superintendent, superin-tendent, with Garry Bentley, who was second assistant in the old superintendency, stepping up to first assistant in the new one, with Thomas Davenport being selected as the new second assistant assist-ant to Mr. Gurr. The retiring superintendency was made up of Claude Orton, superintendent, Merton Mitchell, first assistant and Garry Bentley second assistant. Orton has served serv-ed as head of the Third Ward Sunday School since May, 1948, with Mitchell as an assistant during that time. Boyd Mitchell was assistant to Mr. Orton for a year or two and was replaced by Bert Felstead who served for several sev-eral years and was replaced by Mr. Bentley two years ago. The new officers of the organization organi-zation will be sustained at the next ward conference in the Third Ward and the retiring ojfi-cers ojfi-cers will be released.
