Show Elks Lodge Committee Lays Plans For Charity Project With the Christmas season approaching ap-proaching the Cedar City Elks Lodge is making plans for its annual distribution of toys, food and clothing to needy families. The lodge has been accumulating clothing throughout the year and this will be augmented by purchases pur-chases with funds raised by the lodge for charitable purposes. Th malor fund ralslnir nrn. ject, the annual Charity Ball, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, Haldow E. Christensen, Exalted Ruler, announces. Lee Wood, Esteemed' Leading Knight, has been named chairman chair-man of the charity ball activity, and he with his committee has been busy for sometime making preparations for the annual event. The ball is open to members mem-bers only, and aJl funds raised at the affair will go into the lodge charity fund. Assisting Mr. Wood are Ralph Adams.J. M. Brown, M. D. On Saturday, Nov. 26, the regular re-gular November party of the Lodge will be hcjd, featuring a dinner, dance and kangaroo court, which is open to all members mem-bers and their partners. Leonard Smith, past Exalted Ruler, Is chairman of the committee in charge, assisted by Al Thompson, Lee Milne and Sgt. Paul Potratz. |
