Show EliOCII AND MIDVALLEY NOTES Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murie and family spent a few days in Bountiful Boun-tiful visiting Earl's sister, Nancy and family. Mrs. Shirley Nelson Gurr and baby left last week to join her husband in Germany. Eva Grimshaw had the misfortune mis-fortune to break her arm when the swing broke which she was swinging in. Eva is the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Grimshaw John Anderson called his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Anderson, Ander-son, Monday to inform them of the birth of a baby boy at the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. The baby weighed six pounds 11 ounces. The other erandnar- ents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Taylor of Parowan and the great-1 grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.! David Murie. I Visitors at the homes of Helen and Rua Jones last week were two of Mrs. Jones' aunts,, Mrs. Ed Heaton of Moccasin, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Mas-, Mas-, terson and children of Kanab. " The Relief Society served a i banquet to the 4 H leaders of Iron County last week. This ban-' ban-' quet is an annual affair sponsor- ed by the Bank of Southern Utah and Bank of Iron County, to pay tribute to the leaders in this national na-tional organization. Owen and Ivan Matheson left for Ogden Tuesday morning to be with Mrs. Sarah Matheson, who is in St. Benedict's Hospital. Hospi-tal. A new treatment has been prescribed for Mrs. Matheson. j Mrs. Marilyn Grimshaw was l operated on last Friday for appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. Her new baby was only on-ly one week old at the time. Mrs. George Halterman is in Salt Lake City helping to take 1 care of her sister-in-law, who is , sick. j A new committee has been appointed ap-pointed to assume the responsibility responsi-bility of the upkeep of the rec-Ireation rec-Ireation park here. Appointed to the committe was Hilda Grimshaw, Grim-shaw, Earl Murie, James Smith, Hunter Grimshaw and Raymond Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. William Mathe: son and their daughter, Delia Romnoy, and their son-in-law, Sam Gardner, of Duncan, Ariz., visited here Monday. They were on their way to Ogden. The ward was happy to have i one of our members put in as l counselor in the Parowan Stake ! presidency at the quarterly conference con-ference held Sunday. He is , George D. Grimshaw. |
