Show PUBLIC FORUM As 1 See If Here, there and everywhere; The big deer slaughter has almost al-most ended, except where an extended ex-tended hunt continues in the areas where most of the land owners don't want it continued. It seems that the fish and game department has really gone into big business, rather than a game protector, by issuing special doe extended hunts when it is not necessary, and 90' r of the land owners don't want them. Wei.', we sure had a great election elec-tion on Nov 8. there were so many issues' that came up that we decided on a one party platform. plat-form. You know that our politics are so confused and mixed up that It is hard to say who belongs be-longs to which party. I am sure the Republican party has vanished van-ished because we how have a bunch of free traders and they've lost all resemblance of fair traders. trad-ers. I attended a meeting where Senator Bennett and Congressman Congress-man Dixtn discussed some improvements im-provements on the roads In our national monuments. It was amazing how concerned they were when It came to spending money here in southern Utah. It didn't seem to worry them about spending 30 thousand dollars on the Cedar Breaks road, but wheri it came to building a new road through the Kolob Canyons, cost-Ing cost-Ing from 4 to 20 million dollars, they semed to loose their fighting ability. However, if Eisenhower asks the congress for 3 to 10 billion bil-lion dollars to go over to Europe they all clap their hands. As I see it the money that is spent here in southern Utah on roads' or water wa-ter developments will eventually pay itself out and will continue to make money for our government. govern-ment. I think that it is time that southern Utah band together to get loans and build some necessary neces-sary roads and water storage pro-locts, pro-locts, even if we have to make them toll roads or on an acre basis ba-sis for water.
