Show CONTINUED ACTIVITIES I Cedar Master Singers Perform at Benefits Two out-of-town benefit concerts con-certs have been announced this week for the Cedar City Master Singers. The first will be a concert con-cert at Paragonah to help raise funds' for remodeling of the ward chapel, and the second will be at Beaver to help raise funds for a recently installed organ. H. P. Dotson, president of the group, revealed that the concert at Paragonah will be held this Sunday evening, Nov. 20. Monday Mon-day the group will move to Beaver Bea-ver for the second presentation. At Beaver the concert wll,l be in behalf of the City's Third Ward and has been arranged through I Bishop Howard White. In both J instances the Master Singers will ask for only transportation expenses. ex-penses. Although the group has not concertized in Cedar City dur-( dur-( ing the current year, Mr. Dotson pointed out that the group has been active in a number of concerts con-certs particularly In the south. A benefit concert to raise funds for an organ was given by the group in Hurricane and during the summer season the Cedar City male chorus appeared In Zlon Lodge concerts. The group is practicing continually, contin-ually, meeting In the First Ward chapel every Thursday evening. Reed Berrctt Is directing the organization or-ganization and Mrs. Irene Hyatt is serving as accompanist. Tlie group, a non-profit organization, organ-ization, sings for the sake of singing. None, or at least few, of the members have had formal vocal study but nevertheless they have been wejl received wherever they have appeared. Any organization organi-zation that could use their services ser-vices should contact Mr. Dotson. |
