Show Three Major Projects j Adopted By SUTfi at Meeting Public school teachers from Piute, Pi-ute, Sevier, Sanpete, Beaver, Mil-lar'd, Mil-lar'd, Iron, Washington, Kane and Garfield counties, gathered in Cedar City Monday for a meeting meet-ing of the Southern Utah Teach-, ers Association. Following discussions in the meetings, conducted by Loris C. Miles, principal of the Cedar City Junior High School, who is president presi-dent of the association, plans were formulated to launch three major projects for the year, and a number of minor activities. The three projects include a study of school equalization, ,sistance in sotting up school calendars, and promotion of public relations. Committees to handle these and minor activities will be announc ed later, Mr. Miles said. The equalization study is aimed at improvement in school equalization and aid to outlying school districts. The second project provides that the committees of teachers cooperate with the school boards of the various districts in setting up all types of school calendars, that would be most advantageous to students and teachers, and nrovido for the best possible functioning of the educational program. A public relations group will send news bulletins peiiodically to local teachers associations describing projects being fostered by the SUTA so that they can be informed of activities of the group.
