Show Tribute Tendered Women in Politics Are the girls' taking over? Could be and maybe it won't bo bad for a group who came of age so recently they have gone a long ways politically. It was only since 1918 that the women won the right to vote now they are successfully running run-ning for and admirably filling pc.'itical offices. It is not disputed that they have tended to lend a few of the feminine graces to the political show. Now, since 1911, a group of the gals have been studying government, govern-ment, politics and issus. If you question whether they are serious seri-ous (maybe your wife is one) ask her or any members of the group. They enjoy the distinction of being partisans on both the leading U. S. parties, when they are not acting in league duties. I think girls deserve to be recognized. They will be anyway. So my hat isviff to the League of Women Voters, for what they stand for as a group, and for the interest they are taking in civil affairs. If they handle civil affairs as well as they do the domestic duties, du-ties, indeed it wont be bad. ties. Indeed it won't be bad. D C. (Dutch) SCHMUTZ -.T |
