Show Lions Club Minstrel Provides Mirth and Merriment i The ISth annual Cedar City Lions Club Minstrel was presented present-ed on Thanksgiving with the usual us-ual large crowd attending and with the usual good natured ribbing rib-bing of local citizens highlighting highlight-ing the performance. The minstrel was again held in the College of Southern Utah fieldhouse, and although the crowd was not quite as large as in past years, it would have been i impossible to accommodate the I number who attended in any i other building in the community. The sound system in the field-house field-house did not prove satisfactory for last year's performance and it is possible that this reduced attendance this year was because of this. However, the sound was' much improved for the 1951 performance per-formance which added to the reception the show received. Funds raised by the annual minstrel are used by the Lions Club for civic improvement projects, pro-jects, making it possible for the club to contribute much over the years to Cedar City's welfare. |
