Show Man Seegmiller Wins Recognition For Playing Ability Word has been received In Cedar Ce-dar City this week of some outstanding out-standing work being accomplished accomplish-ed by AJan Seegmiller, son of Bp. and Mrs. Adam Seegmiller, now attending the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. Just recently Alan performed with the University Band as a piano soloist in a program presented pre-sented at the Grant Junior High School in Salt Lake City. He played the first movement of the Greek Concerto, It is understood. Sunday, Alan appeared as a piano soloist on KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. It is reported that In this appearance cameras were trained on his hands on a number num-ber of occasions showing off his technique. Studied at C S U Alan Is a graduate of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah and has always been active in music throughout his school career. At the present time he Is studying with MabeJ Borg Jenkins, who taught Utah's Grant Johannesen at one time. He Is a junior student at the University, studying music. His appearance in Grant Junior High School was under the direction of the University band leader, Ronald Gregory. |
