Show Parowan Matron Passes After Extended Illness Mrs. Zilpha Ann Lowder Cuymon, Cuy-mon, 88, died at her home here early Tuesday morning from causes incident to age. She had, been in ill health for many years' and seriously ill for the past several sev-eral weeks. Funeral services for the deceased de-ceased will be held Friday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock in the Parowan Third Ward chapel under the direction di-rection of Bishop Karl O. Mitchell Mitch-ell with burial to be made in the city cemetery here. Mrs. Guymon was born Mar. 19, 18G6 at the old fort in Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, a daughter of John and Emily Hodgetts Lowder, the third child in a family of nine. She married Marcus L. Guymon in Parowan Nov. 22, 1884. They were the parents of nine children, four of whom, with her husband preceded pre-ceded her in death. Mr. Guymon died July 29, 1932. Surviving are four sons: Mar- Icus L. Jr., Jesse W., and Ross Guymon of Tarowan, and James Ambrose Guyman of Lancaster, Calif; one daughter, Eleanor G. Bruhn of Panguitch. Also surviving surviv-ing are 23 grandchildren, '10 great grandchildren and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: William Wil-liam J., and M. E. Lowder and Mrs. Emma Webb, Parowan, and Mrs. Kate Jensen, California. The body will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Guymon I Friday until time for the services. |
