Show Rock Club Invited To Enter Murray Park Showing Mr. and Mrs. Clem Judd were hosts to the Rock Club members at their home Monday, Mar. 8. Regular business w-as conducted by President Parley Dalley, who gave a brief review of a new guide book entitled "A Field Guide for Rocks and Minerals," which the club members will use in their geology study. In response to an invitation from the Rocky Mountain Federa-tion Federa-tion of Mineralogical Societies inviting the Cedar City club to participate in the gem and min-leral min-leral show to be held in Murray City Park in June, it was voted to place a club exhibit in the show. It was reported that the February Feb-ruary trip of the Cedar club was very successful with 27 members in attendance to the Dixie and Gunlock areas, where the "loot" included specimens of satin sphar, pentacrinus, astericus and Indian artifacts. Two out-of-state guests accompanying the group were E. Goodenberger of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. B. M. Caruthers of Holyoak, Colo. Plans were laid for a field trip to the Hurricane sand dunes for Sunday, Mar. 21. Members are to meet at the city park at 8 a. m. |
