In a number num-ber of instances, the mayor reports, re-ports, dogs have been impounded impound-ed after the owner has paid a license on them. In order to clarify the case the mayor refers the owner to Section 118 of Chapter 16 of the Revised Ordinances of Cedar City. The section reads as follows: "It shall be the duty of the owners of all dogs licensed to provide said dogs with suitable collars, with a metallic plate or check attached thereto having a number corresponding with the certificate of registry inscribed thereon, and all dogs not so registered reg-istered as faroesaid, may be impounded im-pounded or killed by the chief of police, or his deputies." |
