Show Relief Society Brings Talented Pianist to Cedar City Marian H. Monson, an accomplished accomp-lished pianist, will be featured in a "concert to be given in the Second-College Ward chapel at 3 p. m. Wednesday, Mar 27. Mrs. Monson, a native Utahn, is be ing brought to Cedar City by the Stake Relief Society. The concert con-cert is to be given as a "silver recital" for the benefit of the Cedar Ce-dar Stake-Sixth Ward Center. The Relief Society organizations organiza-tions annually observe the founding found-ing of the Relief Society with some special function on its anniversary, an-niversary, Mar. 17. The piano recital re-cital was selected to mark this ' year's observance of the founding of the organization. All wards of , the stake will participate in helping help-ing to sponsor the program and ' make it a success, j Mrs. Monson has been a student stu-dent of the Julliard School of Music in New York, and has been a popular performer in Utah. She has apepared in concert in several sever-al communities, Including Provo and Salt Lake City. Her program will include both modern and classical compositions and has been arranged to appeal to people peo-ple of varying tastes in music. So that everyone might attend at-tend the concert, three of the ward relief society organizations will have their baby sitting service ser-vice transferred to the Second-College Second-College ward for the duration of the program. Three separate rooms will be arranged in the basement so that children may be cared for while parents attend at-tend the recital. The recital is open to everyone, every-one, men as well as women, and students of piano are especially invited. There will be no charge for the concert, but contributions toward to-ward the church building wilLbe accepted by the Relief Society. |
