' V YY -r' " Kj An unusual example of group cooperation and what can be accomplished through it was displayed Sunday when members of the Cedar City Elks Lodge gathered at the site where the new lodge home is to be built to prepare the ground for the start of construction. The site, on the corner cor-ner of 100 East and 200 North streets, east of the city park, had previously been partially cleared of old buildings, but considerable debris remained as well as fff-iju'"'-' r fc1 -w Wk Mill - -' Tr ,l "irrf ""n - i ' it -t trees and shrubs. Members of the lodge reported for a work day Sunday and with the aid of public and privately owned equipment and trucks were able to completely com-pletely clear and level the lot in one day of activity, at one time more than 50 lodge members were busy on the lot. Construction Construc-tion of the new $70,000 building is expected ex-pected to get under way in the very near future, lodge officials report. |
