Show Forest Ranger Conference Under Way Eight forest rangers and two assistant rangers of the Dixie National Na-tional Forest are meeting in Cedar Ce-dar City this week for the annual ranger conference, according to Albert Albertson, forest supervised. supervis-ed. "Current problems In connection with timber' management, range management, wildlife, recreation, insect control projects and range resecding are being taken up and plans made for carrying out the season's work. First aid training sufficient to renew first aid cards for all regular reg-ular field personnel Is being ta- ken under the able supervision of the Red Cross first aid instructor, instruc-tor, McRay Cloward of the College of Southern Utah. All forest officers offi-cers are expected to be capable of rendering first aid assistance whenever called upon to do so and many occasions occur each year when users of the forests are helped in this manner. It is believed that these annual an-nual meetings pay big dividends in bringing about the most efficient effi-cient administration of all national na-tional forest resources of southwestern south-western Utah, Mr. Albertson said.
