Show Lady Lions Slate Projects for Remainder of Year The officers of the Cedar City Lady Lions club met early this week to lay plans for the remainder re-mainder of the current year. Two major undertakings were approved, first sponsorship of the appearance of the Bear River high school a capella choir in Cedar City, and second, the holding hold-ing or a pre Easter Bake sale as a means of raising funds with which to finance club activities. The a capella choir concent will be presented in the public school auditorium on Friday, March 16. The choir, comiosed of students of the Bear River high school at Tremonton. is directed by Eugene Eu-gene Jorgensen. former teacher in Cedar City schools. The group is enroute to San Tiego to participate parti-cipate in the Western States Music Mu-sic conference. Following the concert the Lady Lions will ' serve lunch to the members of, the singing group. j On Friday, March 23. the club will hold a pre-Easter Bake sale, opening at 9 a. m. in the South- j ern Utah Power company lobby, i All members of the club are urged to contribute items for the ' sale and everyone is invited to support the project by the purchase pur-chase of items for their Easter lunch. Mrs. Frank Dalley, president, presided at the meeting, which was attended by Mrs. Kumen Gardner, Mrs. G. T. MacDonald, Mrs. Reed Berrett, Mrs. Wilson N. Lunt, Mrs. D. C. Sehmutz and Mrs. E. W. Soulhwick, all officers of-ficers in the organization. |
