Show Former Cedar City Lady Dies At Reno, Nevada Word was received in Cedar City Sunday evening of the death at Reno. Nevada of Maude Neb-eker Neb-eker Thompson, wife of C. A. Thompson, long time resident of Cedar City. Mrs. Thompson was 78 years old, having been born at Lake-town, Lake-town, Utah. Jan. 31. 1874. She vileti M:rch 11. 1951. was widely known and highly respected re-spected in Cedar City where she resided the biggest part of her life and raised her family. Mrs. Thompson was very active ac-tive in the Relief Society She served several years as president presi-dent of the Firs: ward Relief o-ciety. o-ciety. and also worked as class leader in the Genealogical ie-partment ie-partment and devoted much of her time to its study after health forced her to retire from active participation. She was also deeply interested inter-ested in fhe work of the Daughters Daugh-ters of t;-. Utah Pioneers and worked actively -. that organization organi-zation for many years. The family moved from Cedar Citv to Ron.o. Nev. a few years ago, where Mr. Th- T has been engaged, in bus-ine.d with his son Dale. Mrs. Thompson Is 'urvlvrd by-two by-two sons Elliott and Spencer Cooley Coo-ley by a prior marria-je and by the following son and dai jhters by her second ma riege Dale Thompson of Reno. Nev.; Mrs. Athens Price of Connron. Calif.; Mrs. Joyce T. Carpc:uer of Long 3each, Calif. Funeral services were held for the deceased on Tuesday, March 13 at the Church of Jesus Crist chapel, under the direction of the Rossburke mortuary at Reno. Nevada. |
