Show CEDAR CI7Y HIGH SCHOOL NEWS Reported by Journalism Class Members By Leslie Ann Schrandt There is an essay contest being be-ing sponsored in the high school. The subject is "Americanism: A Study of Freedom". The essays should not consist of less than 500 words. There will be prizes of ten and fifteen dollars given for the best. A pep rally was given Mon-I Mon-I day, March 12 by the high school in honor of the Cedar Redmen basketball team. It was formed ' at the high school, and consisted of the high school band, pep club, students and teachers. It proceeded to the park where Principal Pratt Bethers gave a I talk. A gift of $50.00 was given to the team by Reuben Winter-rose Winter-rose for its members' entertainment entertain-ment while in Salt Lake City. Last Thursday, March 15, Mrs. Oliver Harris spoke to the F. H. A. club. She gave a talk on the country of Chile of which she Is a native. A typical Chilian dish was served for refreshments. |
