Show PUBLIC FORUM j Dear Community Member: Doctors have always felt that it is advisable to try to prevent an epidemic, rather than to cure one. Because of the water shortage short-age in Iron courts, also because of other conditions which may arise, such as an influx of people peo-ple from the west coast in th event of bombings, we feel it is advisable for people here to complete com-plete their immunization for smallpox and typhoid fever. Through the cooperation of the P.T.A. and the local doctors, all people of Cedar City will be offered of-fered this opportunity for a very small fee, at a clinic this spring. Those who received three typhoid ty-phoid "shots" last year, need only a booster "shot" this year, as do those who have been getting get-ting a typhoid booster each year. A series of three "shots" should be taken this year by all others Also, those who have not been vaccinated for smallpox within the last seven years, should receive re-ceive their vaccination this year. Typhoid shots will be given on March 22 and 29, and on April Ap-ril 5 and 12, at the East elementary elemen-tary school from 9 to 10:15 a. m. and at the West elementary school from 10:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. Smallpox vaccinations will be given April 5 at the same time and place. If necessary, a night clinic will be added to meet the demand. A series of three typhoid shots costs 25c, a booster, 15c, and a smallpox vaccination, vac-cination, 25c. P.T.A. and Doctors of Iron County. |
