Show Shooting of Motion Picture to Begin at Kanab Motion picture shooting is supposed sup-posed to start in the Kanab area before the month is out, according accord-ing to Faye Hamblin of Kanab, who for several years past has contracted with the motion picture pic-ture companies for providing livestock for western scenes. MGM will shoot one picture beginning late this month, and part of another, it is understood. Charles Coleman, MGM location agent, has been in the area this week, laying the ground work for the start of scene shooting. Bill Williams, prominent director and well known in southern Utah for his work in pictures produced here in past years, including in-cluding "Buffalo Bill", will be the director for the picture, It is understood. The name of the film to be made has not been announced, but it is understood that many extras from the Kanab area will be used in the various scenes, including about 140 women. The film will also require a number num-ber of covered wagons and many animals, it is reported. The partial film will include mostly scenes of the buffalo herd at House Rock valley, the report indicates. |
