Show Enoch and Midvalley Miss Barbara Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Jones, will leave Friday for Salt Lake City where she will enter the L D S mission home before leaving leav-ing to fill a mission in the North central states. Because the Enoch ward recreation hull is being remodeled, re-modeled, a testimonial program and dance will be held for her in the Summit hall tonight. The Relief Society work meeting meet-ing and social was held at the home of Mrs. Rua Jones Tuesday. Tues-day. A short program was presented pre-sented and refreshments were served. The children of the Enoch ward were entertained Monday at a birthday party for Roland Lee Anderson on his sixth birthday. birth-day. They enjoyed games, and were served ice cream, cookies and candy. Richard "Bud" Halterman and Glen Jones, who are attending school at the BYU are home for a few days between quarters. The advanced Junior Sunday School class, taught by LaVon Jones, went to St. George Saturday Satur-day to go through the temple. They were taken by Louis Maxwell, Max-well, Rua Jones and Henry Grimshaw, and visited Zion National Na-tional park on the return home. Mrs. Mae Armstrong, her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Evans, have just returned re-turned from Bellflower, Calif., where they visited for several days with George Armstrong and family. Almost 100 per cent of the fathers and sons of the Enoch ward attended the State Fathers and Sons banquet in Parowan Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Thorley of California visited in Enoch over the week end with relatives and friends. William Grimshaw is home after visiting for a month in Ventura, Calif., with his daughter daugh-ter and family, the Russell I Hodges. |
