Show I Record Reader Pens Letter From Japan Since the publication of a letter let-ter from Mrs. Pratt Smith in Tokyo, Tok-yo, in which she told of meeting meet-ing members of the Utah National Nation-al Guard on arrival at Yokoha-j ma, word has been received from Mr. and Mrs. Smith in which they state that all of the boys names could have been mentioned mention-ed in the letter since they met the entire group and were indeed in-deed glad to greet them. The Letter was published in the Feb. 22 issued of the Iron County Record. Rec-ord. The Smiths report that if they could have been certain that they could make the trip to Yokohama Yo-kohama to meet the troop ship, the boys would have had a larger larg-er reception committee on hand. Mrs. Margaret Woolems of Mil-ford Mil-ford had hopes to get there to greet especially the boys from Beaver county. Mr. and Mrs. Woolems, and L D S Chaplain Curtis, making the trip in a jeep loaded with magazines and LDS literature for the National Guard arrived just after the ship had pulled out of the harbor en-route en-route to Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Smith state that I " they have received many letters from parents of boys with the guard units, thanking them lor .their interest and friendliness. I and they take this opportunity to 'acknowledge receipt of the letters. let-ters. I . |
