Show E Economic Events y of Davis County Rexene Corporation is scheduled to hire approximately 100 people in April for its 80,000 square foot facility at the I-reeport Center in Clearfield. The plant will manufacture specialty films. Long Beach, California-based Pacific Industrial acquired the former CHCO building in Woods Cross as the site of its Utah operations. Kraft Food Service will build a 25,000 square foot expansion of its Freeport Distribution Center later in 1991. Interstate liarricade received approval from the Laylon City Planning Commission for a new 10,000 square foot facility in the Layton Industrial Park. The company expects to expand its work force from 10 to 18 workers. Site approval was given from the Layton City Planning Commission for a proposed 52,00 square foot shopping plaza. The pla.a will be known as Layton Village Shopping Center. The site will include the new YVal.Mart store currently under construction in Layton. Albertson's presented plans to the Layton City Planning Commission to build a new shopping center on the southeastern corner of Fairfield and Rainbow in Layton. The Spring Works, a company specializing in the manufacturing of springs, added 5,000 square feet to its Woods Cross facility. This will allow the company to hire approximate! 10 new employees. Hercules terminated 19 workers at its Clearfield Plant as part of a long-term effort to trim the company's work lorce. |
