Show Syro under investigation Syro Steel Corporation, a steel fabricating and manufacturing company, in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Utah Bureau of Solid and Hazardous Waste, is presently conducting an environmental envir-onmental investigation and assessment assess-ment at the Syro facility in Center-ville, Center-ville, which will proceed through the summer of 1991. The investigation investiga-tion is being conducted by Bingham Environmental, a local environmental environmen-tal consulting company. To satisfy the requirements of the EPA and the State of Utah, the investigation in-vestigation will require that exploratory ex-ploratory drilling and groundwater sampling be performed in several locations. Although no public health and safety or environmental hazards are expected to result during dur-ing the course of the study, Syro Steel and its representatives will be presenting a public information meeting to answer any questions and address concerns that local citizenry may have regarding the investigation. The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 26, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., at the Servus Drugstore, located at 55 North Main Street in Bountiful. All interested parties are invited to attend. |
