Show Accused bomber incompetent OREM An Orem man accused of setting three bombs has been found incompetent to stand trial. Jim Bowcutt, 33, Orem, was judged incompetent in 4th District Court by Judge Cullin Y. Christensen on the basis of a psychological evaluation report. Bowcutt was committed to the Utah State Mental Hospital. Bowcutt had been charged with seven felony counts, three of which were second-degree felonies and four were third-degree felonies. He was charged with delivery of an infernal machine and construction of the devices. Bowcutt was accused of placing a bomb at the Grandview lst-9th Ward LDS building in Provo, on April 14, and two others at the Orem City Library and a Provo building where Wasatch Mental Health leases space. |
