The new officers, pictured above, are eighth and ninth graders selected by the student body. FJH selects new : student officers Student body, ninth and eighth grade officers to serve Farmington ; Junior High School during the - 1991-92 school year were announc- ed last week by Principal Blaine : Hyer. ; Named student body officers for the coming year are Alicia Brown, president; Stephanie Sorensen, vice president; and Kate McOmber, secretary. sec-retary. Alicia is the daughter of Brad and Sharon Brown, an honor student and member of the school's National Honor Society, a TEAM Club member and active AAA soccer player. Stephanie is also a soccer player and TEAM member and daughter of Keith and Juelle Sorensen. A daughter of Robert and Kathryn McOmber, Kate is active in drama, tennis and recreational baseball. Ninth grade officers are Nate Rees, president; Davis Bell, vice president; and Marcia Yamasaka, secretary. A straight "A" student, Nate is the son of John and Ann Rhees. He is a member of the school's basketball basket-ball team and honor society. Davis, a son of Greg and Jolyn Bell, enjoys volleyball and once organized a club for prospective grandparents. Marcia is an honor student, member of the honor society and enjoys drama and tennis. Her parents are Ray and Marsha Yamasaki. Eighth grade officers for next year will be Jennifer Johnson, president; Becca Taylor, vice president; presi-dent; and Jeni Graham, secretary. Jennifer plays on the school girls' basketball team and is a member of the honor society. She is the daughter of Richard and Sandy Johnson. Becca, daughter of Jeff and Judy Taylor, is an honor student who enjoys ballet. She served as class secretary this year. Jeni, daughter of Leonard and Beverly Graham, is an honor student and member of the girls' basketball team. Other student body candidates were Nathan Nelson, president; Becky Boyce, vice president; and Erwin Swain, secretary. Ninth grade candidates were Brett Mooney, president; Elizabeth Armstrong, Arm-strong, vice president; and Maeve Johnston, secretary. Eighth grade candidates were Brian Palmer, president; Emily Angell, vice president; presi-dent; and Katie Ferguson, secretary. |
