Show John Linford KAYSVILLE John Clifton Linford, 88, passed away Sunday, I . March 10, 1991 at his home. He was born March 25, 1902 in Kaysville, a son of John George and Mary E. Bodily Linford. He married Ruth Walker June 1 , 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away June 1, 1989. He had been a dairy farmer and cattleman most of his life. A lifelong resident of Kaysville, he attended Kaysville public schools and graduated from Davis High School. He held many leadership positions posi-tions in the LDS Church including ! Sunday School teacher, president of the Elders Quorum, superintendent of the Sunday School and Kaysville Stake High Councilman. He was also chairman for 18 years of the management and operation for the Kaysville Davis Stake Farm. He served as secretary in the high priest group, Kaysville 16th Ward. He was honored in 1986 by the Kaysville City and Fruit Heights communities for a lifetime of community com-munity service in recognition of the following contributions: He was the chairman of the Ration Board; he was a Kaysville City Councilman for seven years; he served as mayor of Kaysville City for 10 years; he was chairman of the Central Davis Sewer Board; he was the director of the Weber Basin Water Conservancy Conservan-cy District for 17 years and chairman chair-man for two years. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, John R. and wife Caryol Linford, Broomfield, Colo.; Dr. Keith W. and wife Diane Linford, Ogden; Carol L. and husband James R. Elder, Gilbert, Ariz.; Kathy L. and husband Stephen M. Holt, Bountiful; 1 3 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother j . and two sisters, Myron B. Linford, Kaysville; Leone Linford, San Francisco, Calif.; Breta L. Dotson, Paradise, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard B. Tuff ' Linford j and a sister Artell Linford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, at 11 a.m. in the Kaysville 16th Ward chapel, 50 W. 300 S, Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Kaysville City Municipal Building, 23 E.
