' 'The talented young people selected this year have extraordinary extraor-dinary academic records and a broad range of interests, pursuits, extracurricular activities and athletic achievements, ' Hansen said. "They all have the potential to win an appointment to the academies aca-demies and the promise that marks outstanding military careers. As always, the selection process is particularly par-ticularly difficult because of the high caliber of so many applicants," ap-plicants," Hansen said. The selection of nominees is based bas-ed on a composite of factors such as school records, class rank, SAT or ACT scores, leadership potential, athletic participation, extracurricular extracur-ricular activities and recommendations. For decades, Dr. Seuss has been a best selling author of children's stories. To celebrate this famed author, au-thor, the Bountiful High theater and debate departments will present a Children's Theater production entitled: en-titled: "Dr. Suess Can Do It, How About You?" The production will feature some all-time favorites by Dr. Seuss, such as "The Sneetches," "Green Eggs and Ham" and "The Cat in the Hat" The performances will be on Thursday and Friday, March 14 and 15 at 4 and 6 p.m. and on Saturday, March 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the Bountiful Boun-tiful High School Little Theater, Room 1 00. It promises to be a wonderful way for a child to spend an afternoon. after-noon. Tickets are $1 and will be sold at the door. The entrance to the Little Theatei is on Mill Street |
