Payson pressed Cedar throughout the entire game and the pressure hurt the Redmen in the second quarter. "Our subs didn't handle the press very well," stated Nielson. Cedar scored only one field goal in the second period. The Reds trailed 30-25 at the half and could never catch the Lions. tomorrow against the Flyers? Cedar assistant coach Steve Hodson commented: "We'll have our hands full. We've got more strength than they do, but they have more quickness. They're such a good home team, and they haven't lost at home yet all year. It's going to be a good game." A key to tomorrow's game will be the matchup between Dixie's 6-6 Randy Wyatt and Cedar's 6-6 Kevin Garrett. Garrett is a power player, as is the Redmen team. Wyatt and the Flyers tend to rely more on finesse. Cedar did show Tuesday that they can win even when they can't get the ball inside.
