Show Human bones found by boys CEDAR CITY Bones found late Sunday evening near Leigh Hill by two juveniles have been tentively identified by the Cedar City Sheriff's Department as those of a human. Jim Stansworth, 17, and Rob Prisbrey, also 17, found the skull and took it back to Stansworth's father, who immediately phoned the sheriff's department. According to Sheriff Ira Schoppmann, the investigation began early Monday morning and revealed most of the bones of the body. "We will take the bones to the State Medical Examiners . . . , and they will be able to determine the sex, age, height, weight of the individual." Schoppmann also added that at the present time, the sheriff's department has no leads on the identification of the bones. "The only missing person we've had reported was about a year and a half ago, and these bones seem to be about four or five years old," said Schoppmann. |
