Show Sprinkler funding received SALT LAKE CITY -The Utah Board of Water Resources authorized $2,250,000 recently to the Enterprize Reservoir and Canal Company to construct a gravity pressure sprinkle irrigation system to serve 2,000 acres of land north of Enterprise in Washington County. The funds, when available, will come from the Board's 1980 $25 million bond fund authorization. A feasibility report on the project presented to the Board shows the proposed project consists of the construction of a new diversion dam and small regulating reservoir about one mile below the Lower Enterprise Dam, installation of approximately nine miles of 27-inch diameter water transmission pipeline, and installation of 21-inch and 15-inch irrigation pipelines throughout the service area. The proposed new system will replace deteriorated earth and concrete canals. |
