Show Little League play ends The U&S Motor Spirits captured the championship cham-pionship in both varsity and jr. varsity Little League Football play last week. Coached . by Jim Blackner, Charles Frank and Paul Whetman, the first-place teams consisted con-sisted of the following players; Jeff Alamo, Mike Adams, Jerry Allen, Jason Beacham, Gubler brought the total to 19 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Schexnayder threw to Shawn Wright 22 yards for a TD and then scored on a two-yard run for another o one. Blackner to Wright resulted in another extra point. In the third quarter it was a 51-yard pass from Schexnayder to Haris to rack up the points and the score-happy Spirits rounded i it off when Kyle Hinton scored on a four-yard four-yard run. The final game of the season saw the second-place second-place Cowboys defeat the Troians 13-7. Jr. varsity Spirits won their last game of the season 6-0 over the Elks Lodge Chiefs. Jason Mitchell scored for the Spirits on a one-yard run in the first quarter for the Spirits only score. Varsity action October 8 saw the Spirits racking up a big 44-0 score over the Chiefs. Kim Blackner's 45-yard run started the scoring; then Bobby Schexnayder scored on a two-yard run. After the second touchdown, touch-down, a pass from Blackner to Ryan Harris resulted in the extra point.
