Show Directory to be sent The new Southern Utah telephone directory will be delivered to area residence and business customers by October 19. Thus said Mountain Hell District Operations Manager Merrill Hymas, adding that there are some new features in this year's book and advising customers to double check the emergency number section. "Concerning new features in the book, the most notable change is the addition of a new customer information section called the Customer Guide, located in the front of the white pages. One section consolidates many phone numbers for community services and agencies providing community assistance," he said. Credit policies, billing, consumer rights and responsibilities are included in-cluded in the new book as well as advice on handling han-dling unwanted or annoyance an-noyance calls. Other tips tell customers how to save time and money on service connections, local service and long distance calling. New business office numbers for residential customers are also a part of the directory. Regarding the emergency number section, Hymas adds that there is one item customers should check. Due to a printing error in the front of the book, a sheet (two pages) of emergency numbers was accidently deleted. Mountain Bell decided to delay delivery until Oct. 19, so that the missing sheet could be added. "For safety sake, we are requesting that customers double check the front of their books," Hymas said. In all there should be three pages of emergency numbers that start with Alton and continue in alphabetical order and end with Washington. If the second two pages (back and front of one sheet) are missing, telephone customers should call their office. |
